Not good.
But I guess it’s only natural for grille designs to get completely insane just before they go away altogether.

Wow, an Audi Cherokee! Such collaboration.

What has happened to our world, the Lamborghini Huracan RWD has a more subtle front facia

I wonder what the worst designs are.

I’ve got a coworker going to the show this weekend. I, on the other hand, am going
here
. 1930s automotive design state: excellent.

It just looks like they’re all trying far too hard to be something they’re clearly not.

1958 all over again. Now that fins would never pass safety regs, we are relegated to ever more extreme and pointless grille designs. Bold!

with everyone pushing for aerodynamics to improve efficiency, its seems counter productive to use such large grills. I’m guessing the production versions will have most of those grills replaced with the fake imitation grills

Conspiracy to sell more replacement parts? There’s no chance in hell that any of those would survive an impact greater than 0.5mph.

Yup. 3 mph tap that cracks a headlight? That’ll be $3000.

Good point - they still have to breathe, but you’d think all that would give some serious turbulence.

Sad!

Yup.

Nice move... Jealous. Did you get there for the Porsche exhibit?

best cars =/= best design
But “best” for me will always have a design component.

So angry and shouty.

I did not get there for the Porsche stuff. It’s a bit far from where I am just to go down there for the lulz routinely. On the other hand, I happend to see an exhibit at the High Museum in Atlanta some years ago which had Steve McQueen’s Jag and a Delage and some things.

Except the bus. It kinda looks stoned.

It looks exactly like that.

Awesome. If you haven’t yet, make sure to watch all the videos that were made in conjunction with that exhibit. They’re fantastic - https://vimeo.com/album/2337580
I actually bought the exhibit book, since I couldn’t go (live in Tulsa).
